The Kitty Mafia is a new rescue that is focusing on the placement of homeless cats and kittens into foster and furever homes. We are also working to help the Las Vegas Community and surrounding areas realize the importance of spaying and neutering; including the practice of TNR (Trap and Release) of community cats in order to continue to reduce the stray cat population. The community Cat population in Las Vegas is a significant issue and it will take a combined effort to make the necessary changes needed to help find a long term solution.

Founded in Spring of 2023; The Kitty Mafia hopes to make a substantial impact on the Rescue community and kitten population with the help of members and volunteers in the Las Vegas community and surrounding areas. In the past decade a lot of work has been put into stabilizing and reducing the cat population in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas. In 2009 County Statics were released that showed Thousands of Cats where being Euthanized in local shelters. Over the past 10 years multiple programs and a large amount of rescue efforts have drastically reduced the numbers of Cats and Kittens being Euthanized. The Kitty Mafia focuses our efforts specifically on Cat and Kitten rescue. With a special emphasis on young Kittens that are orphaned or abandoned or injured. The life of a feral or community cat is a tough one; but born in streets many of these kittens have poor chances of survival if no one steps in.
